I have a picture here of Jesus and a few of my friends! They love Jesus too! And, Jesus loves them, just as He loves you and me! When I look at this picture, I feel very happy to know that Jesus loves kids so much!

Do YOU know about Jesus? Do YOU know that Jesus thinks kids are very special? He sure does! No matter how big or how small you are, JESUS LOVES YOU!

YOU are very SPECIAL to Him!

Let me tell you about a story in the Bible about Jesus and His love for children.....

Jesus was very busy all day, going about and teaching the people about God and heaven!

Even though Jesus was very busy, He always took the time to show everyone that He loved them. As Jesus taught the people, they were amazed at what a great teacher He was!

Sometimes He would stop and pray for someone who was very sick, and Jesus would heal them! He would tell folks that His Father in heaven loved them so much; and, that He sent Jesus down to earth to tell everyone about how much God loves them and wants them to live with Him in heaven someday!

After His busy day, Jesus would go up to the hills to a quiet place where He could pray to His Father in heaven. Jesus chose twelve very special friends. He taught them all about the things of heaven; and they saw all the good things that Jesus did to help the people. They loved being with Jesus. For Jesus loved them very much. Just as much as He loves YOU and ME today! How much do YOU love Jesus?

One very sunny day, Jesus and his friends were out on the mountainside with all the people. Jesus was teaching them about God's Word. There were lots of people there listening to Jesus. Including many children! For, they heard about all the great things that Jesus did to help people and how much He loved them!

Boys and girls were all very excited as they ran to meet Jesus! They were very happy! They tried very hard to squeeze their way in between all the people so that they could see Jesus!

But, some of Jesus' friends came and told the children to go away. They said: "You cannot come to see Jesus right now, He is much too busy! He has important things to do right now! Just go home!!"  When Jesus found out what His friends were telling the children, Jesus said: "Wait! Do not stop these little children from coming to see Me; but, let them come to Me!!" So, all the boys and girls, even Mothers and Dads were carrying their little babies to see Jesus! When Jesus saw them, He would pick the children up and hug them! He loved the children very much! As the children came to Jesus, He blessed them! He was never too busy to stop and take some time with the children! He told the big people thatthey should be like little children when they came to Jesus! The children loved Jesus very much!  Many times Jesus would laugh and sing with them!  Jesus taught the people that children were very special to God! He taught them, if they would become like little children, they too could be special to God!

Do you think that YOU are very special to God? Well, if YOU love Jesus, then YOU are VERY SPECIAL to Him! God says that YOU are "the apple of His eye!!"

Do YOU ever pray to Jesus? YOU can pray to Him by just talking to Him and tell Him how much YOU love Him! He loves YOU very much, and He loves to bless YOU!  Jesus wants to see His children happy and joyful!! Remember to thank God for all His blessings that He has given to YOU and to YOUR FAMILY!!  And, be HAPPY IN JESUS!
