A couple of scripture passages that I love are: Deuteronomy 28:1-14 - Simply put: IF we LISTEN, OBSERVE and DO what God commands us to do in His Word, We will receive blessings upon blessings! "IF" is a very tiny word; but, it is CONDITIONAL. Are YOU willing to do what God's Word says? Are we willing to literally live our CONVICTION? In DEUTERONOMY 30: 19 God clearly lays out the CHOICE for us: "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you LIFE and DEATH, BLESSING and CURSING; therefore CHOOSE LIFE, that BOTH you and your seed may live! What is YOUR CHOICE???

Can I ask you.... What is the difference between a CONVICTION and a PREFERENCE for Christ?

Hi notjustatinkertoy!
Very GOOD question! Here is a simple answer: The difference between a CONVICTION and a PREFERENCE is: A person who has a PREFERENCE for the LORD, will call themselves believers or followers of Christ; they will confess to be steadfast and immovable for the LORD. Until, the "pressure" is on; then the person with a PREFERENCE will bend or give in when they are under pressure. A person who has a CONVICTION for the LORD, will stand firm for the LORD, no matter how much PRESSURE is put upon them; or, how difficult the circumstances may be. One with a CONVICTION will not waver under any circumstances; but, will stand firm for Christ! Which do YOU have? A CONVICTION or a PREFERENCE?? A GREAT question for ALL of us to think about!!
