Question: Can God heal sickness and disease?
Answer: God certainly can heal sickness and disease! Not only can He heal; but, He DESIRES to heal those that are afflicted! In JOHN 10:10, Jesus tells us that God wants us to have life more abundantly! Jesus paid the price in full for every believer's healing. There are many scriptures in God's Word that pertain to healing. Just to name a few:
ISAIAH 53:5; PSALM 103:3; JAMES 5:16; JEREMIAH 32:27 and so many more. In ACTS 10:38, we can read that when Jesus was on this earth, He went about healing ALL that were afflicted! In ACTS 9:34, we see that Jesus is the Healer!
In ACTS 14:8-10 We read of the crippled man who had faith to be healed; and, he received healing! Do you have faith
to believe for a healing for yourself or perhaps for a relative or friend? Jesus, Himself tells us in MARK 11:23-24 to have FAITH IN GOD. Have total confidence and trust in God and in His ability to perform His Word! The faith that Jesus is speaking of is a believing faith, an expecting faith! Faith without doubt or unbelief. Jesus tells us that when we pray, BELIEVE that you RECEIVE, and you WILL have whatsoever you ask. (Of course, when you pray, whatever you are praying for, must NOT be contrary to God's Word; but, whatsoever you ask, believing, must be in agreement with the Word of God.) What is it that you may need of the Lord? Just pray believing and have complete and total reliance upon God. Prayer is powerful; and, God answers every prayer! Praise God!
