DIVINE INTERVENTION-Part-2 By: Pastor Abraham Bascon
Again I would like to remind you, that we are in this new church building because of "divine intervention!" Because of God's desire for the salvation of souls! As I have previously mentioned in Part 1 of "Divine Intervention," it is ALL GOD'S DOING! We are forever grateful to the Lord, and give HIM all the GLORY for the MIRACLE that He has done for the Word of God Church! To God be ALL the Glory!
For the sake of space, I have written this word in two parts. Part 1 of "Divine Intervention" can be found here on the "Good NewsLetters" link.
I believe that the Lord would have me to share some of these healings and answers to PRAYER that we, here at the Word of God have been experiencing, because perhaps it might help to encourage others who are experiencing similar trials. What God can do for us, He can and will do for YOU!
Another testimony that I personally would like to share is that I, myself had been experiencing a great deal of pain in my lower back. Having just moved into this church building, there was much to be done in the moving process. However, this back pain was very bothersome to me. As I was sitting down at the church, Sister Arlene noticed how much pain I was having. She and her little Grandaughter, Destiny came over to me and placed their hands on my shoulder and prayed for the Lord to heal this terrible pain. Well, that was the extent of it. When I went to bed that night, I noticed that I had no pain. Then, I remembered
that Arlene and little Destiny prayed for me. I was healed! You might think that this is a small thing, but to me, it was a miracle! It was so painful! So...what's going on? REVIVAL is on its way!! The Salvation of souls is most exciting! A life- changing experience of being born-again of the Spirit of God and living your life according to God's Word! If you experience a miracle, and you are not saved, you will experience something alot worse than your disease or sickness! You would have missed the greatest experience of all --- being born-again of the Spirit of the Living God, the Lord Jesus Christ!
The harvest is ripe for the pickin' out there in the world!
We went apple picking a few weeks ago, and all you had to do was puff! The apples were there just waiting for us to snip them off the branches! I can see the evidence of REVIVAL! It is all around us! On the other hand, the other evidences that I can see are the Satanic influences that interfere with the Word of God. Remember when Michael who had to battle the King of Persia and yet he was being detained from his mission to bring the Good News to the persons who desired to have the Good News.
One thing that the devil hates, is REVIVAL! Because REVIVAL brings the salvation of souls!! The devil knows this and he will fight like the devil to prevent it! We might be thinking that everything will be 'rosey' when REVIVAL comes! We might think that everything is going our way. Well, hold on... Don't you think that the devil is going to try to tempt us during this time? Why did he tempt Jesus in the wilderness? Because he knew that what was going to happen was going to bring salvation of souls! We need to recognize these things, and not be naive concerning the work of the devil and how he is trying with all his strength to prevent REVIVAL! Here are some things to recognize that would prevent REVIVAL:
Apostle Paul writes in 1 CORINTHIANS 13:4-"Love suffers long and is kind..." Being impatient, not using long-suffering. Perhaps overlooking the patience of others. Maybe getting to a so called 'boiling point' or you see a lack of kindness. Or perhaps there is boastfulness, pridefulness or you are demanding things your own way. How about being irrated with others? Where is your 'long-suffering?' Keeping tabs on other's mistakes or rejoicing when an injustice is done to someone. Or, not rejoicing when a truth prevails. How often have you found yourself saying: "I give up! I can't take it anymore!" Losing faith or having no hope. Thinking that something will not work out. And, not enduring through certain circumstances. Can you identify with any of these demons? What should you do about it? Do what Jesus did...speak the Word of God! Submit yourself to God, resist the devil, and he shall flee! Keep in mind that LOVE covers a multitude of sin! Speak the word when you are being influenced by wrong thinking and bad behavior! 1Corinthians 13:4-8 -"LOVE suffers long and is kind; LOVE does not envy; LOVE does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, endures all things. LOVE NEVER FAILS." REVIVAL is around the corner! Walk in God's Agape LOVE!! Lord bless you!
