HEBREWS 11:1 - FAITH defined is: persuation or a strongly held conviction, firm, ummoveable belief. We firmly believe that God DOES exist! We firmly believe His omnipresence. He is all powerful and all-knowing. We don't have to have spiritual eyes to see the beauty of God's creation. Physical eyes, we are already able to see. And the evidence of what we see witnesses to us, that God's someone who is higher than us, and who does exist! God's directions, His comments, His teachings are all put in place for us, that we might become a workman not to be ashamed "rightly" dividing the Word of God.
FAITH is a persuasion, a strongly held conviction. Faith can hold us up. You had faith tonight that your car would take you to church. You were fully persuaded of it. Faith in God is having a conviction in mind and spirit that God not only exists; but, as the author of scripture, everything He says or does can be backed by Him! God will back it up! It is so! Faith that Christ is the Son of God, the Messiah, that we who believe in Him will receive forgiveness of sin and have Everlasting Life. Faith - is a firm belief in God and His promises. Heb 11:1- Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the 'evidence'(being
fully persuaded) of things not seen. So your full trust and dependance is relying on God and knowing who He is! When we become familiar with God, we will have a greater understanding of Him! Our trust that He is omnipresent, fully present. And, God does NOT lie! He makes a promise; and, He keeps it!
Many of us, are familiar with JAMES, the Lord's brother. Being the Lord's brother, James knew quite a bit about the Lord Jesus Christ. JAMES 5 tells us: NOT to be afraid to ask God to supply whatever needs we may have. Financial, physical, spiritual etc..
Ask Him, and He will give it to you! Ask Him in faith, with NO doubt! No mistrust or no disbelief. For God's Word tells us what he who disbelieves is like in verses 6-7. Simply ask without doubting. Have total cofidence, trust and reliance upon God. You have to have this firm conviction with NO doubt! For whatsoever you ask God for; you need to have the full conviction in your heart that God delivers. Not that He "might" deliver! No! The "might" will distort the faith. It will negate the faith!
When asking God in doubt, perhaps 50% doubt, this doubt will nullify your faith. If your doubt is 25% or 1/2 of 1% it will still nullify faith! So, if there is any hint of distrust when asking in faith, the distrust will nullify the faith. You have to ask NOT doubting! Even 1/2% of doubt erases the work of faith!! JAMES 1:8 coins a man who thinks he is asking in faith; but is doubting. James says in verse 8, this man is a "double-minded' man, unstable in ALL his ways! It is so important to ask God correctly! Is God being realistic? Is He contradicting His Word? If He is, then, He is NOT God! Remember: it's impossible for God to lie! You must firmly believe that! Follow God's
guidelines to and firmly believe that God is able to deliver! Whatsoever God promises; ye shall have whatsoever ye ask. Jesus puts it this way, in Mark 11:22-24- And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. Mark 11:23- For verily (truly, or assuredly, guaranteed, you can truly depend upon it.) I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall NOT doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Mar 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Jesus says: you can surely depend upon it, I am NOT lying to you! Jesus uses the example of moving a huge mountain. It doesn't matter what you think is so incredible, so impossible;
if you speak to it, doubting not in your heart, it SHALL be done for you! Sounds so incredible! You might say: So, if this is true than everyone with Cancer will be healed, if they apply this? I myself, have seen the works of faith and the result of doubting NOT. No matter what was spoken! I have seen positive, incredible and miraculous results over and over again! I have seen and experienced these awesome events numerous times over the years and I praise and give thanksgiving to the Lord for each and every one!! GOD be glorified! (PART 1 OF 2)
