2- FOUR Words to help YOU to WALK IN YOUR MIRACLE!

By: Pastor Abraham Bascon,
Word of God Church, Brockton, MA. 02302
So often, we may seek God for some badly needed mending of perhaps a broken relationship. We seek God, and we ask God to give us a miracle.
But in this word that I am preaching: WALK IN YOUR MIRACLE, every believer of the Lord Jesus Christ, born-again of the Spirit of God, YOU have your miracle! Now the scripture that goes something like this: the things that you do with the little things that you have, it depends upon what you do with those little things. If you do nothing with the little things, then the little things cannot become big things. And so, that is what the Word of God tells us. If God can trust you with little things, then, He will be able to trust you with big things! In HOSEA 4:6 the Word of God says:
"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." God's people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. And it is because of the lack of knowledge that a lot of Christians are not living their miracle. They are not living that supernatural event that is due to a divine act. Of course, the person who does the divine act is the Lord God Almighty! He is the One that is the Supreme Authority and the Supreme Divinity! He does the miraculous in a believer's life! And it all begins in EPHESIANS 2:8, 9, and 10. And it reads: "For by grace YOU are saved through faith, not of your own works....(why? Answer: Because it is a free GIFT of God! NOT of any of your own good works; but your salvation is a GIFT of God!) The miracle that God wants everyone to experience is this: that YOU receive His saving grace through faith in Christ Jesus. Peter says, it is not God's desire that any should perish; but, that all should come unto repentance and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their Personal Savior. In verses 8 and 9, we see four very important words. It is: GRACE, SALVATION, (or in this case, saved), then, FAITH and GIFT. Four very important words here in verses 8 and 9. "For by GRACE you are SAVED (salvation) through FAITH, it is a GIFT of God." Let's take a look at grace. Grace is God's unmerited favor or undeserved favor. Undeserved favor because: God is a holy God. God fellowships with those that are holy. If in God's Word He commands us not to be unequally yoked. In other words: not to be associated or associating or hanging around with the lifestyle of unbelievers. God says: "Do not be unequally yoked." Yes, as Christians, we should go forth and we should share the Gospel of Christ with unbelievers; but, if you think that you are going to start hanging out with them and observe the simple life that they are living, and participate in it and think that you are not going to fall into sin....well, I can tell you right now that the devil's got your mind! The devil has his hands on you and he is blinding you from the Truth. Because sooner or later, you are going to find yourself back in darkness! Not that that is what God wants for you. No...Jesus is the True Light and He wants His believers to walk in the light and not in darkness. It's okay for us to go and share the Gospel of Christ with those who are in darkness; but, go in, and get out! Get in...get out! Now, that's about the only way that we can do it. But to live and observe and be among people who are living their lives contrary to God's Word, is a very very difficult thing to do! And, if it wasn't, well, you know that Lot and his family had to leave Sodom and Gomorrah. Why? Answer: Because the whole place, the whole enviornment was just sinful, totally sinful, that a righteous man just cannot survive under those circumstances. So, Lot and his family was delivered from the evil that was there. You know, the Word of God says: "Thou shall not tempt the Lord thy God." And, we should not. If the Holy Spirit tells us to go to so and so or to such and such a place, go, but go specifically for what He sends us us to do! And that is: to present the Gospel of Salvation to the lost. And, that's it; but, to stick around and become a part of the things that they are involved with, is dangerous, very dangerous. We, everyone, according to God's Word, with the exception of the Lord Jesus Christ, were born as enemies of God. That might not be something that you would readily accept. You might say: "I'm not an ememy of God! I never was an enemy of God!" You might also say: "I always loved God." Well, according to God's Word, this is what God says. In ROMANS 3:10, it reads: "And it is written, there is none righteous, no not one! There is none who understands. There is none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside, they have togehter become unprofitable. There is none who does good, no, not one. Their throat is an open tomb. With their tongue they have practiced deceit. The poison of asps is under their lips, whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood. Destruction and misery are in their ways. And, the ways of peace, they have not known. There is no fear of God before their eyes." Now...
how many of you at one time or another, can see yourselves in this particular scripture? That you were one of these people? That you had deceit in your tongue? How many of you have ever spoken a lie? Okay, it's only a sixteenth of the congregation that raised their hands. Okay, so the rest are liars right? (Laughter) A little white lie, is still a lie. How many of you know that? Because that is actually where it begins. It begins with a little white lie; but, that little white lie grows and becomes a big fat lie! So, the Word here says: "No, not one, sought after God." How many of you were born-again the day that your Mom gave birth to you? Alright! (Laughter) Praise God. Because how do you become born-again? Answer: You have to know the difference between good and evil. And for the evil, you need to confess and admit that you have done evil. If you can't admit that, then you are participating in the sin of pridefulness and arrogance. Because everyone of us are born sinners! Check this out in ROMANS 5:12-"Therefore, just as through one man, sin entered the world and death through sin, and thus, death spread to SOME of the men...(congregation responds: death spread to ALL of the men!...) Pastor responds with: "Yes, ALL of the men...which includes ALL of US!" Because ALL have sinned! Now, look at the fourteenth verse:
"Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who have not sinned according to the transgression of Adam." ALL sinned! Now...verse 18: "Therefore, as through one man's offense, (Adam's offense), judgment came to ALL men, resulting in condemnation."
So, we ALL fall into that category! Question: Is there hope for man? Answer: Yes, there is! Yes, there is! Because God does not desire for any to perish; but, to have salvation in His Only Begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. So, in order to save us aweful, terrible sinners, God devised a Plan for our redemption! What God did, was to provide for us, a GIFT called GRACE! It is something that comes from God, not something that we give to God. We really have nothing to do with Grace but to accept it as a free GIFT of God. GRACE, underseved favor! That's what God has towards sinners! His underserved favor towards sinners! Then, He provides salvation. Salvation is the distinguishing sign of being saved from God's Wrath, and living Eternal Life. To live and experience Eternal Life. That's what salvation is all about. Being spared from God's Wrath on Judgment Day. Because ALL sinners, when they come before the Lord God Almighty, they are going to be judged. The books are going to be opened up. And the books are going to describe everything that they have done! They rejected God. They rejected Christ as their Personal Savior. They will spend eternity being tormented in the Lake of Fire, forever and ever and ever. That's the Wrath of God! And, that's the reason that there is an urgency in my heart and I pray in yours also, to go out and share Christ with your loved ones who have not yet received Him. Share Christ with others, with strangers, share Him with everyone! Be the heart and the arm of the Lord! He doesn't desire for any to perish!
And we, believers of Christ, we have the Word of Salvation for those people! There's an urgency in my spirit and as you also have agreed with me, that the Lord is coming back, He's coming back for His Bride, the Church, and when that trumpet blows to announce His return, listen now... to try to share the Good News with someone's going to be too late! We need to share the Gospel of Christ before that trumpet blows; because, when it blows, it means that the King is coming!! And, it will then be too late! So, the first word was GRACE and the second word was SAVED. The third word is FAITH. Now...please turn in your Bibles to HEBREWS 11:1. This is very important because some of us Christians when we read this scripture, we really get the wrong impression of just what this scripture is saying. Often times, when you ask a Christian what is FAITH. This is what they will say to you. They will quote HEBREWS 11, verse 1, which goes: "Now, FAITH is the substance of things hoped for, and it's the evidence of things not seen." That does not define FAITH. That is not the definition of FAITH. Now, if you look at the word faith in the Greek, or go and open up your Webster's dictionary and look up the word faith. This is not the definition that it is going to give you. The definition of faith is trust and confidence. Trust and confidence in God. That's the kind of faith that God desires of us. To have TRUST and CONFIDENCE in Him. That defines FAITH. I don't just stop at TRUST and CONFIDENCE; but, I add a little bit more to this definition. To me, FAITH in God is complete TRUST, complete CONFIDENCE, complete DEPENDANCE and complete RELIANCE upon GOD for ALL things! For EVERYTHING!! That's the kind of FAITH that I have in God! So, when you understand the definition of FAITH, which is TRUST and CONFIDENCE in God, when you look at this scripture of HEBREWS 11:1, you can translate this scripture to this: Now, FAITH (or TRUST and CONFIDENCE in God), is the substance of things hoped for. Your complete TRUST and CONFIDENCE, DEPENDANCE and RELIANCE upon God, is the evidence of things not seen. You see, instead of putting the word FAITH there, insert COMPLETE TRUST and COMPLETE CONFIDENCE. That's the definition of FAITH. Now... the complete TRUST and CONFIDENCE, DEPENDANCE and RELIANCE upon the Lord God Almighty for ALL things IS the substance of things hoped for. My complete TRUST and CONFIDENCE, DEPENDANCE and RELIANCE upon God for ALL things IS the evidence of things not (And I am going to insert the word "YET" here) YET seen. You're going to see it; but, not yet. And what makes it possible for you to see what you hope for is: the TRUST and CONFIDENCE, DEPENDANCE and RELIANCE that you have upon God. Do you see this? So complete TRUST and CONFIDENCE, DEPENDANCE and RELIANCE upon GOD, is put together, it's melded together and it is identified in ONE word: FAITH. So, that you don't have to have a 'tongue-twister' of: total or complete TRUST and CONFIDENCE, DEPENDANCE and RELIANCE upon GOD for ALL things. So, instead of saying all of that, you can say, ONE WORD: FAITH! Because that is what FAITH IS! Okay, alright? So, FAITH is also a GIFT of GOD. The Bible tells us that we are NOT born with this God-kind of FAITH. This God-kind of FAITH is something that we receive. And we receive this God-kind of FAITH by hearing God's Word! That's what ROMANS 10:17 says:
"Now, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." So, in order for a person to receive Christ as their Savior, you can't just go to a person and say: "Are you saved?" And, they might look at you with a puzzled look and ask you: "Saved from what?" And, if your theology concerning God's Plan of Salvation is very limited, you would probably answer the person with: "Well, if you don't get saved, you're going to go to hell! Now, do you want to go to hell?" And the person might answer: "No, I don't want to go to hell, who wants to go to hell? I don't want to go to hell! (Laughter) Right?? I don't know how many of you have ever seen this sticker on someone's rear bumper of their car; but, it says: JESUS CHRIST...He loves the hell out of you! (Congregation laughs and applauds). Amen! Pastor says: "And, He paid the price!!" So, you know that is why it is so important that you would allow yourself to be discipled. To be a "student" of Christ. And, to be a student of Christ, you need to be able to RIGHTLY divide that Word of Truth! You need to study God's Word. You need to "investigate" the scriptures! You can do it privately, or you can do it cooperately. Here at The Word of God Church, We provide Bible Studies and the preaching and teaching of God's Word, That's one of the reasons why it is so important that we gather ourselves together, particularly when the coming of the Lord is soon! And, it is soon! So, when you share the Word of Salvation, you don't just ask the person if they are saved. No, in order for that person to have saving faith...In order for that person to become born-again, just like you, the person is going to have to hear the Word concerning Salvation. And so, you are going to have to explain to the person, the Gospel of Christ. Which is not difficult. All you have to do, is to bear in mind just what to explain to folks. And, what must we be able to explain? Answer: We must be able to explain: who Jesus is. Where did He come from? What did He do while He was here on earth? And after He did His mission, where did He go? That's basically it! If you can answer these questions, that's the Gospel. But, FAITH, or saving FAITH, comes from hearing God's Word! And, I'll prove it to you here...Please go back to EPHESIANS 1:12. "That we who first TRUSTED in Christ, (there's that word: TRUST. And, what is FAITH? Answer: TRUST and CONFIDENCE!)
So, it says here in verse 12 that we who first TRUSTED in Christ, should be to the praise of His Glory, in HIm (Christ Jesus) you also TRUSTED (again, TRUSTED is another word for FAITH), AFTER you heard the Word of Truth, the Gospel of your Salvation. And what is the TRUTH? Answer: The Truth is Jesus! Who is He? Where did He come from? What did He do while He was here on earth? And, where did He go after He completed His mission...where did He go? That's it! It's as simple as that! Explain that to someone! And so, in Him you also TRUSTED (or had FAITH) AFTER you heard the Word of Truth, the Gospel of your Salvation. In whom also having BELIEVED, you were SEALED with the Holy Spirit of Promise. Verse 14: "Who is the GUARANTEE of our inheritance...until the redemption of the purchased possession to the praise of His Glory." Do you see that? The proof that any person is a believer of Christ is that they have the SEAL of the Holy Spirit. In other words that they have the Promise of the Father which is the Holy Spirit. That's the proof that that person has heard the Word of Salvation, they responded positively, and that they believe the Word of Truth that they heard. Then, they were SEALED with the Holy Spirit. They have the Holy Spirit. And, what does the Word of God say about the Holy Spirit? Answer: That you receive the Holy Spirit; and, that the Holy Spirit is the GUARANTEE of your redemption. YOU'RE the purchased possession. Jesus paid the price with His precious Blood to purchase US! We're the purchased possession! (Applause) Amen!! Sealed with the Holy Spirit, a Guarantee for the promised redemption! A guarantee! It's our inheritance when you become a believer in Christ! This is part of your inheritance!! Oh, praise God!! One might ask: "Oh Pastor, are you saying that this person can never lose their Salvation?" Answer: "That's what it says here! It's a GUARANTEE until the purchased possession!! That's what GOD says!! Not me!!" Again, one might ask: "Pastor, do you believe in eternal security?" Answer: "Hey listen, I believe in what GOD says! If God says that my salvation is secured in Christ Jesus, that's good enough for me, I believe that! Again one might ask: "Well, Pastor, what about those folks who believe that because they are saved and their salvation is secured eternally...what about the fact that they sin? Do you mean that because they are saved that their salvation is eternally secured, that they can sin and live a life of sin and still go to heaven?" Answer: "No! No! They can't live a life of sin and expect to go to heaven! Because you see, what happens is that when you become born-again,
when you believe, you receive the Holy Spirit. And, when you receive the Holy Spirit, you receive the nature of God! Now, God's nature is NOT going to tell you: "Okay son, you can go now and do whatever you want to do." No! You have to understand that....well, turn to EPHESIANS 1:4 and now watch this.... verse 4 reads: "Just as He chose us in Him before the foundations of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love." When we became born-again, God chose us to be holy and to be blameless before Him in love! That's our lifestyle!! That does NOT include sin at all!! That does NOT promote sin! It does NOT promote evil living! It promotes HOLY living. Standing before God blameless and in love!! "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." HOSEA 4:6. For lack of knowledge, people will say: "Well, if you are saying that your salvation is guaranteed because you have received the Holy Spirit, does it mean that you can live a life of sin and still go to heaven?" Answer: "No, you can't! No, you can't! Because, as it says right here, that God foreordained us, Believers of Christ, to be HOLY and BLAMELESS before Him in love. THAT'S the life that we live!! Now...a person who says: "Well, I'm saved so I can do whatever I want." Pastor expounds: "I'm sorry, but that person is disqualified! He is disqualified, and He doesn't know what He is talking about! Because you see....EPHESIANS 2:8 and 9, says that we are saved by GRACE through FAITH, not by our own good works, because salvation is a GIFT from God!! There's nothing that we can do to save ourselves! However, when you accept God's GIFT of GRACE, SALVATION, and FAITH, you become born-again of the Spirit of God and you receive the Holy Spirit. Now, at that point, you are on your way to heaven! You are on your way to heaven!! When you become born-again, THAT IS your MIRACLE!! That is a MIRACLE! All of us were born as a "natural" man, void of the Spirit of God. We only receive the Holy Spirit or God to come into our spirit, when we become born-again. And, I'm telling you that the only way that you will become born-again is, AFTER you HEAR the Word of Truth! THAT'S a MIRACLE!! Not every one has the Spirit of God dwelling within them! The fact that you are born of the Spirit of God makes you a supernatural person! Don't look at yourselves, the way that you used to be. The way that you used to be and the life that you used to live, BEFORE you became born-again. Look at yourselves now as a NEW creation in Christ Jesus, that old things are past away and that ALL things are become NEW! 2 Corinthians 5:17. Look at yourself as being a part of God's miracle! That's what you are!!" You don't have to pray to God and say: " God, you know....if I could only see or experience a miracle, then my faith would increase and then I will truly believe in You." Pastor: "No! Because that kind of statement is NOT a statement of FAITH! Why? Answer: Because: "FAITH (total TRUST and CONFIDENCE in God) is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not yet seen." So, if you want FAITH, then you are just going to have to have total TRUST and CONFIDENCE in GOD for ALL things, and for everything! TRUST Him although you don't "see." Question: "How many of you "see" your home in heaven right now? Do you "see" it with "natural" eyes? Do you see heaven with your "natural" eyes? Do you see God with your "natural" eyes? Answer: "No! But we BELIEVE that God DOES exist. We believe that there is a heaven. Why? Answer: Because we have total TRUST and CONFIDENCE, DEPENDANCE and RELIANCE upon God for ALL things! We believe that God ALWAYS WAS! ALWAYS WAS!! We believe that! And, if you believe in God, do you know what is going to happen? You are going to end up believing in the Lord Jesus Christ! Because, the Lord Jesus Christ, is part of the Plan of our Salvation. Knowing God, is knowing the Lord Jesus Christ with your heart! Amen!
So, right many of you are born-again of the Spirit of God? Be honest now...just be honest, because, if you are not born-again of the Spirit of God, I will make an invitation for you to come forward to receive Christ as your Personal Savior, and you will be able to do that because what you have been hearing for the past forty-five minutes, is the Word of God, the Word of Salvation! What I am sharing with you, is how you can be saved! But those of you who are saved, live your miracle right now!! You are a miracle of God right now! You are not a miracle of God about to happen. No, you are a miracle of God right now! You have the Spirit of God within you! Hallelujah!! Live it! It is an exciting life!! You live it every day!! Every day!! So...okay are NOT saved BY your own good works; but, you're saved FOR good works!! Repeat after me: "I am NOT saved by MY own good works! I am saved by the GRACE of God, through FAITH! So...repeat with me: "I am NOT saved by my own good works! But I am saved FOR good works!!" Do you understand that? Do you see it clearly? So, being saved by God's GRACE, does NOT and NEVER WILL give us a license to sin!! If you think that it is a license to sin, then when the Word of Truth was shared with you, your ears might have been filled with wax! You could NOT hear the Truth plainly or clearly!! The Truth is: We are NOT saved by our own good works; but, we are saved FOR good works!! Our conduct in this life as believers of Christ is this....That we ought to stand before God HOLY and BLAMELESS in love!! We need to have this as our CONDUCT and as our BEHAVIOR. Live our miraculous life HOLY and BLAMELSS and in love!! Live that life, HOLY, BLAMELESS in love before God and before one another! And, you are going to see that this is a wonderful life! A supernatural life! It's a miracle!! It's a miracle!! I'm walking in my miracle right now!! When?? Answer: Right NOW!! Everywhere I walk, I shall possess! Everything I touch, it shall be blessed!! I am highly favored of God. I am the head and NOT the tail! Walking in His ways, and obeying His Will!! I'm walking in my miracle...when?? Answer: RIGHT NOW!!
Give the Lord Glory!!!
